True Love & Pythagoras
Pythagoras of Samos lived in the south of Italy around 500 BC. Numbers were one of his many fascinations. Number were also primary in the mysticism of Pythagoreanism, a philosophy that believed everything was made of numbers. Really? Can the mystical numerical musings of ancient Greeks be used to explain true love? If there's any truth to this ancient philosophy, then as above, so below, the key to true love might be found in mystical sacred geometry. Possibly like this --

MONAD
The one, the individual, a center source around which the full person revolves - and that full person, like a core seed, expands and fulfills itself as a perfect circle. If a person doesn't bring their fullness forward, what comes forward is not a complete circle.

DYAD
Two Monads, expressing their fullness, overlap each other such that each touches a part in the other's core, the intimate nexus of the other. This only works if both Monads are full circles and each are honest and vulnerable enough to show their fullness and let the other touch their center point, their most intimate core.

VESICA PISCIS
Two circles with the same radius intersecting within each other’s circumference. This was an ancient symbol of how the God and the Goddess join together. In sacred geometry, this is the basic pattern for the Flower of Life and the Tree of Life and describes harmonic proportions as a source of strength and power. It's the relationship formed when two complete Monads overlap with honest vulnerability to their cores, thus forming a truly intimate space shared and yet a part of each. This state of pure harmony and balance can only exist when both approach each other as full, honest individuals with the pure intention to share spaces in each other's cores.

ALCHEMICAL YIN-YANG
Once the pure Vesica Piscis space exists, a mystical union of Yin and Yang can burn there, in the alchemical fires of love, and within the union of Yin and Yang forms the complete inner fullness (circle) of  "US."

TRIAD
The Triad is based on the number 3, the noblest of all digits, and 3 is the only number to equal the sum of all the terms below it (1+2=3), thus it's the essential number to represent the "US," as in the sum of the two individuals summing to US. The number 3 is also the only number whose sum with those below equals the product of them and itself. It's the quintessential expression of a full Monad plus full Monad overlapping to become an emergent third element, the "US." The resulting Triad represents balance and is a polygon of stability and strength.

TETRACTYS
Major counting systems throughout history counted to 10 and then repeated, recognizing a fundamental completion at 10. Based on the number 10, the "perfect number," the Tetractys holds the position of highest mystical importance. It is the ultimate expression of perfect, sacred geometry and forms a TRIAD -- just as one full Monad with another full Monad, both with pure intentions to access a place in each other's core, create the shared third manifestation, the "US" in the Vesica Piscis. Also, 10 Triads are seen in the Tetractys, each in turn containing their own 10 divisions and so on, thus the pattern repeats endlessly. The Tetractys was so sacred to the Pythagoreans, they swore divine oaths by it.

DECAD
10 Tetractys contained within the overlapping Monads of the Vesica Piscis, each containing 10 points.
10 10's -- nothing is more essentially perfected and in harmony.

Tetractys over Vesica Piscis

Although the geometry is simple, the possibility of execution to manifest true love is not. Such a state can only exist if both Monads approach each other as full, honest, vulnerable individuals. If any hidden, ignoble intentions exist on either side, the necessary alignment won't take place. If either side, either from lack or by not wanting their motives to be fully seen, doesn't truly share with the other an honest space in their core, there can be no alignment. Honesty, vulnerability, and pure intention, these form the Triad of a truly mystical alignment -- and true love.
